To find solutions, we must first know the problems.
Who We Are
We, the YTGA social justice advocates, are a group of very passionate high school students determined to bring about awareness of global and local issues through our writing, art and theater. Although our nonprofit initiative originated from John Fraser Secondary School located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, it has quickly spread throughout various high schools nearby. We are proud to have a few YTGA members writing for us from half way around the world. We soon hope to be able to claim that we are an international group. Please read on to learn more about us or how to join us.
What We Do
Tired of feeling helpless about the injustices we know are occurring in the world, we decided to write about issues we are passionate about or want to know more about. The articles we have written are thoroughly researched and sourced. Our ultimate goal is to spread awareness which we feel is the initial action that creates the reaction. Only through awareness of what the problem is, can the solutions come to light. There is empowerment in knowing we are contributing to the healing powers that exist in our world. We recognize the suffering and torment the unfortunates and underserved are going through and we dedicate our efforts to them, for if they are unable to speak for themselves, YTGA will be their voice.
