On Saturday September 1st 2007 the troopers again performed wonderfully at Streetsville Memorial Park. Our second event entitled NO MAN'S LAND featured a Niche Exhibition ( an art gallery with live art), a series of comedic short plays and an environmental fashion show. Guest Speakers Dave Dryden from SCAW, Amnesty International representative Wilf Ruland and Spoken Word Artist and Poet Memo also took the stage to ensure a wonderful evening of enlightenment through entertainment. No Man's Land was a call to join the Amnesty's Stop the Violence Against Women campaign as well as to assist Benamar Benatta's call to justice. Please visit www.benamarbenatta.com and sign the petition.

The YTGA event team is excited to announce our very first event entitled DIG 2007 VENTURING BENEATH THE SURFACE in support of Sleeping Children Around the World has generated enough funds to provided 21 bed kits to children in Tanzania and Honduras. We thank the audience members for being part of this special event and helping to make it a smashing success!! We would also like to thank artists Rozina Kazi, Nick Murray, and authors Devyani Saltzman, Freedom Malhotra and Satyam Malhotra for joining the troopers on the stage to achieve our goals.

The evening featured a comical play, THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, written by the troopers themselves, along with a medley of performances. The entire proceeds generated by the event have been donated towards bed kits with the assistance of Sleeping Children Around the World. Please visit www.scaw.org for more information about bed kits and the regions served.

Through our efforts we aimed to not only raise money for the children, we also hope to create a bridge of communication amongst the South Asians, and other ethnicities, in our community.
